No depreciation area 51 defined for investment support 01 in class - AA265

Dear all

I am getting this error when trying to change the Asset Master Record when trying to update the investment support measure. Can you please tell me what is missing and what needs to be updated in customising.

No depreciation area 51 defined for investment support 01 in class

Message no. AA265

Diagnosis

You have entered an investment support key 01 for which the depreciation area 51 is not active in the asset class.

System Response

The system cannot create the investment support key 01.

Procedure

Define depreciation area 51 in the asset class. Start asset master data maintenance again. Then you can use the investment support key. Alternatively, you can remove the investment support key, and save the data first without investment support.

Hi,

most of the time the reason is a wrong definition of the depreciation area 51. For the investment support you should have defined "Negative values allowed" in OADB and not "All values allowed". Most probably this is why you get the error message.

were created asset depreciation area 51. if not please maintain this (you can copy from existing 01 depreciation area and chage relevant fields
