how to write a formaula such that for a particular project and for a particular employee sum of all the hrs he has worked in that particular month

Hi,

Instead of making a formula, you can choose this alternative too

- Create a group based on the employee name, project name and the date filed he is working. These will be a three level grouping in crystal reports.

- Right click on the date group and click format field->Date and Time tab -> select month-year (i.e. Mar-99). so the data will appear according to a particular employee and all list of all the project will be appeared and for every project you can get the list o hours he will be working.

- Now create a summary based on the hours (Sum of hours) of that employee and place it in gourp footer 3 (i.e. for the date group).

From this you can get the total amount of hours that employee will be working for each and every project under his name.
