hi experts..

can u plz guide me how to find out the exact release strategy for pur.req? suppose we have 20 release strategies now i want to find out which release strategy will trigger for the person who got new authorization for creation of pr?

Hi,

I have achieved this by using below steps

Step 1 -Extract release strategy assignment report from CL6B/CL6BN ,this will give you release strategy number ,assigned characteristics value along with assigned release code. Extract the dump in xls format.

Step 2 - from SE16 ,open AGR_1251 ,AGR_USERS ( if you knows SQVI-Query builder ,then make inner join of both the tables)

Or else from AGR_1251 ,search object-M_EINK_FRG ,and then check assigned role with Release group and release code along with User name.

Extract this data in xls and use vlookup formula for extracted data from STEP-1

This will give you complete picture abount release strategy master.

Release codes for PR - T161E table

Here you get the release codes.

Based release strategy, you have codes which you assign to the user.

Based on the release code selected you assign it to the user. Whenever the user wants to release any PR the assigned release code will give the open PR's for release.

To know which release strategy for PR select the class using Tcode : CT12/CT24N

In CT12 give the characterisitics and value and execute for classification. you will find the release strategies which has that char value

well if you do not want to simply test it, you can use transaction CL30N "Find Objects in Classes" for searching the classes and objects assignment by characteristics value; but in my humble opinion it is still easier to check the customizing and perform few test.
