Project Stock

Dear All,

I have created a Project with only WBS, i have made the PO with Account assignment P and entered the proper WBS.

but after MIGO trnasaction its not comming in Stock,

we want to take all the project materials in Stock and then issue against reservation,

can you suggest how it can be possible.

we are using GL as 48000000 - Project Clearing account.

Pls help in this regard.

Hi,

create PO with Account assignment Q then do the MIGO. now you can see the material is available in project stock.

prerequiste - check your project profile in OPSA for valuated stock indicator must be on in control tab

Thanks for your feed back sir,

actually we have activated the Budget control system also so now the system is gving error related to commitment code and fund centre if i take account assignement as Q, how ever it can be solved by FI team.

also my one more query, if i have to kake the PR on Network level i have to use 'N' in that case how cani take the materials in Stock?

You cannot take materials in stock for item category 'N' as it implies non-stock materials meant for direct consumption. For project stock you need to use item category 'L' with the option of 'Purchase requisition + Reservation WBS element'.

For your first query, you need to ensure the configuration maintained in MM of where project stock material items are procured (i.e. which G/L account). If it is a balance sheet account then the budget check would be exempted. However if the G/L account is an expense account then budget would be checked. You need to discuss this with your FI as well as MM team.

Please read SAP Help on Material Planning in Project, specifically procurement Indicator functionality.

Since IS-PSM is active you are getting error regarding Fund Centre and Commitment Item. Since IS-PSM is there I do not think PS Budget is active in your system.
