Net Weaver License Key

Hello Experts,

Kindly, after I installed the SAP Solution Manager 7 I must create a License Key for this product, and when I try to install SAP Net Weaver Over the Solution Manager the Net Weaver Installer Required A License Key. So can I use the license key that created for the solution manager or I have to have a new license key for the Net Weaver before the installation?

Hi,

Observe the difference between a license key and an installation key.

Installation Key: Required during installation, is asked by the SAPInst tool. This is generated via the Solution Manager. So no installation key required for Solution Manager. But when you install another Netweaver system, generate an installation key in the Solution Manager via tcode SMSY for the new Netweaver system. License Key: A valid license key is required for every system - be it Netweaver or Solution Manager, for users to login to the system. You need seperate license keys for Solution Manager and Netweaver systems. Generate it from http://service.sap.com/licensekeys
