Project Sales

Dear Experts,

I am from PS module. I need some clarification on Project sales concept.

We have make to order scenario for our client. . Presently the sales takes place from unrestricted plant stock. We want to do project sales from project stock only.

We had simulated case where we generated some project stock. Then we created Sales order & delivery against WBS.

But while doing PGI, the system is showing error of material deficit.

Although sufficient project stock exist in the concerned plant sloc , but still system is showing this error message.

We want to know whether we are following correct process for project sales or some configurations are missed out , as PGI is not getting triggered from project stock.

Kindly suggest.

hi,

Kindly check the movement type its picking, it has to pick up 221 instead of 601, so check the movement type, ie schedule lines maintained for that sales order and the item category.

Thanks for the reply .

In our case movement type getting picked is 221 only. Also schedule lines are maintained properly with item category LP.

One thing I noticed that , in the outbound delivery document , tab - goods movement data , the field special indicator is coming blank & greyed out.

I think that this field needs to be Q ( make to order ) in my case for delivery to get triggered from project stock only.

I want to know , how this field will be updated . Does it flow from sales document or some configuration.

Hi,

Your material master is maintained for Make to stock, may be some one has changed the strategy group to make to stock or some issue with that, Kindly check the same.
