Increase the default value for the list of values for parameters in WAD

Hi

In BEx WAD 7.x, the parameter splash screen has a default value of 1000 records for the limitation on the number of records to display for a variable.

Does anyone know if there is a way to change the default? .i.e. say to 5000

Hi Daniel,

sorry for late reply. We had a similar issue regarding this limit. As far as we have analyzed the implementation the limits for these value help parameters have been (hard!) coded by SAP. The limit for the rsrt value help is for example hard coded in class CL_RSR_WWW_ITEM_F4_SIMPLE (--> method "get value" after comment "* get value" the value is set to 200). We have requested at SAP if the limit for the web applications can be customized, however there seems to be another hard coded construct...

If you find a way to implement an individual limit let us know. Good luck

when you click on the infoobject to bring the report right click to go to restrick to select the variable .. bring the variable to the right.. .. click on the variable and NOW on the top right cornor there are few icons .. i dont recall which one, but 1 of then takes you to options to show value so fthe variable,, just enter 5000 in it..
