Dafault plant at PO item

Hi All

I have not maintained default value for plant in personal settings.

Also material is extended on dfferent plant and info record is created on same plant.

But when i put material number in Po Item then i get altogather different plant.

Please inform from where iam getting this default plant value in po item

check in IMG which plant is assigned to your purchasing org.

IMG > enterprise strcuture > assignments > materials managment ........

Hi,

Please check whether it is coming from default value of plant in personal settings of PO creation. Other possible reason could be IF you use plant specific pur.organization,a utomatically the plant which is assighned to that pur.org will be as a default. Thanking you.

Hi,

As soon as you enter material number the plant value can come as default from PIR. How means, while creating you will enter vendor and organizational levels and then material data in item over view. By considering the material and vendor combination of PIR, the respective plant of PIR will triggere as default value. Though you have this material in different plants, PIR will be maintained in vendor, material combination for a particular plant. Thanking you

Consider following example

Material is Extended to plant 1000 only

Info record is created for material, plant 1000 and P-org 1000

When po is created first vendor is put then org data with p -org 1000 is maintained.

When material is put then plant 2000 is defaulted instead of plant 1000

I dont know from where this plant 2000 is coming . Please guide.

Hi,

Please check whether you have maintained inforecord in plant 2000 combination too.

If so, then there are chances of plant 2000 to default based on the purchasing group you entered in the header of the PO.

If you haven't maintained the personal setting, then you should check the PIR.

It might has a same material and vendor

Hi,

Plant defaults from the inforecord maintained.

It is maintained at vendor, material, purchasing organization & plant level.

While creating PO, when you enter vendor, POrg & material, automatically plant defaults.
