sap bi system copy with method "Save for system copy"

Hi Friends,

We are refreshing our SAP BI Quality system with BI Prod,i want to extract source system Dependent Objects for BI quality system and Import after copy.

I went to RSA1->grouping(save for system copy),but my BIQ has 12 source systems ,do i need to collect dependent objects (Transfer rules,DTP,Datasources and Process chains) for all 12 systems.

If i collect then how much time it will take to import all these objects.

Can any one give me some thought on this.

Your help is highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Chandra

Hi Srikishan

Thanks for the quick response,as there are 12 source systems for our B1Q,can i create 12 transport requests and release before copying the system.

Do i need to check any thing before importing these transports to B1Q again after the system is refreshed with Production.

Thx,

Chandra

Hi,

Yes, you have to use the option 'collect dependent objects'.

This would definitely take some time as there are quite a few source systems. Exact time cannot be predicted, depends on number of objects etc.

Use the procedure in SAP Note 184754.
