Usage decision stock posting

Hi All,

I am using in usage decision stock posting the posting VMENGE08 with movements type:

- Movement Type for Stock in Quality Inspection 321

- Movement Type for Unrestricted-Use Stock 322

- Movement Type for GR Blocked Stock 105

The stock is unrestricted and when I make the usage decision and send some quantity to "other qty posting" the system gives me the message "M7018 Enter Movement Type". In this step the system try to use movement type 322.

Any idea why this happens?

Movement Type for Unrestricted-Use Stock 322

When you put something in Unrestricted-Use Stock under say VMENGE08 -->It means

"Movement type that is used for stock postings during a usage decision task, when the lot is in unrestricted-use stock."

You can not use this mvt type when your inspection lot has stock in quality Stock.But if stock is in unrestricted then

311 is mvt when you transfer stock from unrestricted to unrestricted & not 322 which is reversal of QI to Unrestricted.

What I need is to transfer the stock from unrestricted to QI in another storage location.

If I change the customizing of VMENGE08 to movement type 311 the system gives me the same error message (M7018).

You can not use QA11 to transfer the stock from unrestricted to QI

You can only do this by using SAP Note 175842 & there is no other way for this...

If I use the same movement type 322 with the exacly same data but instead of VMENGE08 I use VMENGE05 works fine.

So probably is something I do wrong but I cannot figure what.

are you sure that with VMENGE05 -->322 you able to put the material back in QI with reference to original material document.??

The process at the moment is the following:

- Material with control type 04 without "Post to insp. stock" flag.

- Movement type 101 against production order

- Creation of inspection lot 04

- This inspection lot has sample size automatic determination

- For instance, inspection lot size is 2448 Kg, 2447 Kg is to "unrestricted stock" and 1 Kg "to sample usage" (VMENGE03)

- I have a exit that change me the quantity from VMENGE03 to VMENGE05 and in customizing I have filled "Stoc.loc. for reserves" with a storage location in table TQSS1.

- In customizing I also have the movement type 322 to VMENGE05 when "Movement Type for Unrestricted-Use Stock"

- When I make the usage decision the system maintain the 2447 Kg in unrestricted stock and transfer from unrestricted stock to QI stock 1 Kg in the storage location from table TQSS1. After that the system creates me a inspection lot 08 (control type 08 in material master).

With this scenario, my main issue is when I make the automatic usage decision, in those inspection lots the system gives a error message "QV042 Error in the quantity fields for the insp. lots" followed with a short dump.

Because of this I am considering to use VMENGE08, but now I have this issue in my first post.
