Dear All,
The issue is Assigned cost is greater than the planned cost for WBS element..
In IW38 for the particular month (say October) the total actual cost is 12,30,891.55.
In CJ33 for that WBS element the details (October month)are as follows.
Release amount:22,92,000
Current budget: 22,92,000
Distributable: 22,92,000
Assigned: 22,85,119
Planned total version : 22,81,276
So now the client wants cost of IW38 (ie 12,30,891.55) should come in the assigned value of CJ33.because assigned is more than the planned so he cannot do further assignment for the remaining orders in the current month.
Kindly guide me in this regard.

Assigned = Actual + Commitments + Rem.Order Plan + Fund Reservation.
Please check all the four and compare.

if i add both actual cost and Rem order plan iam getting the assigned value.
but now the question is client wants cost of IW38 (ie 12,30,891.55) should come in the assigned value of CJ33.because assigned is more than the planned so he cannot do further assignment for the remaining orders in the current month.
By the way what is rem order plan how cani make it available.

Rem. Order Plan is temporarily calculated during the execution of project, you can see it in the Structure CCSS under Value Type 25.
Rem. order plan consist of planned labour / work, reservations or planned material components at network level / order level.
Please search the forum for further details as it has been discussed in details earlier..
Dear Santosh,
Budget has been maintained and released at WBS level. When you talk about IW38, I assume that cost has been incurred at maintenance order level which has not been checked for budget. This i believe is standard functionality. The budget at WBS will be checked if you try to settle the cost of the maintenance order to the relevant WBS.
Please check and confirm.
