SRM JavaScript error

Hi,

I am trying to implement some SRM functionality, all I needed is initial mySap SRM welcome page, so I decided to take "easy" way, instead of importing SRM BP, (I am on ITS based old backend) I created IAC iView for 'bbpstart' internet service, so in theory everything should work, but:)

Initial SRM page displayed with JavaScript error "refToMain.frameContainer" is null or not an object

My question is this : What is the difference say if I create an IAC iView using portal iView Wizard and iView from SRM BP? (my guess is some custom SRM specific properties) Any ideas?

Thanks Denis

Hi Denis,

Try creating iViews to the separate screens such as BBPSC01, BBPSC02, BBPATTRMAINT (depending on the version of SRM you are running). I couldn't get BBPSTART to work either. I think it's because BBPSTART isn't really an IAC and I'm pretty sure that that iView isn't included in the SRM BP.

Good luck.

Robin.

Hi,

I have this problem also.

Did either of you find a way round this? or is the bottom line that it is not possible to just launch SRM and SSO to it.

Many Thanks,

Paul

This problem has been bugging me for a couple of years now - you would think that SAP could launch one of their own web applications from the portal without having to do a full role analysis to copy what's already been done in SRM.

Anyway, unfortunately, SAPNote 595519 seems to say quite categorically that you can't launch BBPSTART from the portal. It's a shame that IAC iViews which you launch in a new window don't have an option "Don't bother with the IFRAME thanks, just launch the **** IAC".
