we got new sandbox in landscape, im asked to verify the sandbox before our functional team use it. is db license come under this verification?

If you have OS access, then please log on using db2sid user and execute the command, db2licm -l

before release the system

1- kernel is updated or not

2- db2 lisance

3- All stranded background job

4- sick t-code

5- all users are there or not.

6- LOGARCHMITH1 IS configured ir not.

Hi Shilpa,

to add to further, you need to check the following

1) Whether new clients for business usage have been created or not ?

2) SAP license has been applied or not ?

3) Whether a backup has been done post installation or not?

Hello,

Temporary license is valid for 90 days I guess. For installation -

service.sap.com/notes --> put 'db2 license' in search text box --> you will see db2 SAP OEM license installation related Note.

no need to delete.

download the related db2 licanse and install it as per SAP note by using db2licm -a <filename>

Hello,

Do you mean the Post installation steps ? If yes, then there are a lot of things to check and verify other than the DB2 license.

If it is the new installation, then the DB2 license might be temporary. And it should be included in the verification steps.
