Error in G/L Posting

Can anyone help for posting G/L Document?

It gives me error for posting date.

It says posting 102011 is not open.

Pls advise.

As I am new to SAP FICO, have not practiced for long.

So, still not comfortable in resolving errors.

Hi,

Go to the open and close posting period.

Actually the open and close posting periods will be defined

for the purpose of allowing/restrict the end user to post

the entries for each periods (month).

T code is OB52

Give the period 1 and 12.

Hi,

You cannot post any transactions for the closed periods.......... go to T.Code OB52 and open the posting periods......... but these things are basics....
