CR for Enterprise: Change Data Source Type

Hi guys,

it should be possible to use two types of connection in CR for Enterprise.

1. BEx Query

2. SAP BO Universe

But currently the Drop-Down-Box to change the Data Source Type is disabled so that i won't be able to switch to a universe connection type.

This happens when...

1. Open Crystal Reports for Enterprise

2. Logon at SAP BO System

3. Click on "Create a New Report"

New Data Source Connection Window will open

4. See what choices you have at the drop down box of "Data Source Type"

Do you know why this drop Down box is disabled?

Not sure why that would happen, can you insert a sub-report, and make the new data connection in it?

also with a subreport is it not possible to chosse an other Data Source beside SAP BEX Query

Hi Markus,

Could you create a Universe (.unx) and publish it to the Enterprise logged in as the same user?

I had this issue myself and I remember having created a .unx with my credentials. Once the connection was published to the Enterprise, the options came up automatically! Not sure what triggered that, but you could give it a shot and let me know.
