SAP Net Weaver Version 7.0 Installation

Former Member

Hello Experts,

Iu2019m totally new in SAP products and I would like to ask about the installation steps as the following:

1-Iu2019m planning to install the following SAP products in one server (16GB RAM, 1TB HDD, Win 2003):

A-Oracle Database Version 10.2

B-SAP Solution Manager Version 7.1

C-SAP Net Weaver Version 7.0

D-SAP ERP-EHP5

E-SAP Base Line

F-SAP CRM

G-SAP SRM

So, is that the right order for the installation, can I install all this products in one server as a demo server?

2-I start the installation steps and I have finished the Database setup (10.2 then patch 10.2.0.4) then installed SAP Solution Manager Version 7.1 and I select Central System Installation Type, and the installation is Finished Successfully, but after the installation I did not find any new programs under windows start menu or all programs, I just found SAP Management Console, so is that the right behavior for this type of installation or I miss something?

3-I follow up all the steps that found in Solution Manager Master Guide until post installation tasks, the first step is to logon the application server, but I did not found it in the all programs menu is that the right behavior?

Thank You And,

Best Regards.

Hi,

1. Six SAP systems on one server, this has to be one monster of a server!! As already mentioned by experts, better approach has to be to distribute systems on servers with enough RAM and hard disk.

2.SAP MMC -> Expand SAP Systems -> Right click on the Solution Manager system SID and 'Start'.

3. For logging on to the SAP System, you need to install client software called SAPGui on your desktop. A nice guide for the steps is at http://www.way2sap.com/sap-article/Download-SAP-GUI-Installation-screenshots-1177/

Hope it helps.

Hi,

I think that 16GB RAM is much too low to install 6 different SAP softwares.

You should have at least 16GB par SAP system...

Exactly,

I completely agree with Oliver.

Check for SAP system requirements for all systems that you want to install.

Hi,

Run the SAP Management Console and you will find it!

After opening of the SAP ManagConsole, try to start the Instance of your Installed System, and then with a Sap GUI (configured for connecting to your installed System) you can log in
