Hello, I am wondering if anyone can help me with this. I have a business scenario where billing is based on time recorded. The client want to bill quantity entered in Day and not Hours. The default unit is H. How do I change this default to Day? Can anyone give directions on how to do this?

Hi,

Can you tell me what is the time recording option that you are using?

You can maintian the UNIT as days in the 'A' (Absence / Attendance days) or 'K' (calendar days) while configuring your absence and attendance types.

In this case teh unit of calculation in your deduction rule will also be in days.

Thanks d=for the response. In Cat2, we record time to network activities for projects. Can I get t-codes to where I can make the changes to the absence types or calendar days? Do I have to change both?

In spro - Time Management - Time Data Recording and Administration - Attendance/Actual Working Times - Define Attendance Type, the Absence Type has Unit K (calendar days). Where can I change the unit in 'K' to days?

Hi,

But I am sorry you cannot change the recording in DAYS in cats. You have to write some custom code for that conversion once the time is recorded in the CATS.

Ask you technical person to look into it and give you the solution.

The database table for CATS is CATSDB and the field he will be interested will be 'CATSHOURS'.

Because the time will be recirded against the network activities in your case and not attendance and absences.
