Valuation Class

Is it possible to assign various account category reference for one valuation class. When I try to do then system shows me error message that "An entry already exists with the same name " Message no. SV009.

The reason why I am doing this is for my new 7 material types out of 8 I have to use only one valuation class & for the last material type other valuation class. Please suggest how to do this.

Hi,

The account category reference is a combination of valuation classes ieu2026Many valuation classes assigned to one account category reference but not possible to assign one valuation class to more then one account category reference. Precisely one account category reference is assigned to a material type. Better go for ONE account category reference, ONE valuation classes & ONE material type relation in OMSK t.code.

Hi Abhijit,

It is not possible. Reason being Account category refernce checks that whther the valuation class you have entered is allowed when you maintain accounting data in a material master record. So this entry should be unique. Yes, you can A single Account category refrence to N vlaution classes.

one account category reference can be assign to many material type and many valuation class can be assign to one account category reference

Account category reference is the link between the valuation classes and the material types.
