data source is either fot Real time data acquisition or standard load?

Hello

We are on SAP BI7.01

Is it true that every data source (that support real data acquisition) should be either used for real time data acquisition or standard data load? If data source is used for real time data acquisition that standatd delta load (once a day) no longer possible?
