Batch Determination Issue

Hi,

Presently in our SAP AFS 6.0 system we have an issue where when we try to issue raw materials for a production order via MIGO the wrong batch gets picked for the concerned quantity.

System Message " Sales order stock doesnt exist"

As for our SAP proces we follow a Make to Order Scenario and Raw Materials are ordered for the respective Sales Order / Line item.

And the Raw Materials components are issued to the production order.

What i observed in the system is as follows :

Assume we have two Sales Order / Line items ( Sales Order / Line item A & Sales Order / Line item B) , Raw Material FAB is ordered for both materials and they have discrete batches defined for both.

So the stock Balance report will be as

Raw Material FAB | Quantity 100 | Batch A1 | Sales Order / Line item A

Raw Material FAB | Quantity 100 | Batch B1 | Sales Order / Line item B

We create a production order 1234 for Sales Order / Line item B , in MIGO when we do a Goods Issue Order , the batch which gets picked for the Raw Material FAB is Batch A1 and not Batch B1. Thus we get a system message " Sales Order Stock doesn't exist"

How can i correct this issue, basically i want to configure the system to capture the correct batch for the Material having the attributes as follows : Sales Order / Line item , Grid

Or in the Batch list box is there a way to specify the quantity with respect to the batch.

Awaiting a reply

Thanks & Regards
