Account Assignment Categories in Sourcing

Is possible to use specific specific account assignment category that does not require a price on the line item?

What can be done to implement this?

Also if the Account Assignment is defined on the Master Agreement, can the RFC call to SAP create OLA through with the integration passing the Account Assignment?

Thanks, Any help is appreciated

Hello Chirag,

SAP Sourcing is not supporting account assignment or acconting categories. The interface to ERP has a field on item level called ACCTASSCAT which could be used for your case, e.g. add a line item specification with a dropdown box that the user can select the category, map this field on PI and it flow from SAP Sourcing to ERP. Another possibility which I prefer is that a strategic purchase might not not to worry about accounting and if there is some logic you could use the BADI in ERP when creating a contract or a PO to add an account assignment category and later on maintain the complete accounting data directly in ERP ( e.g. seletcing the correct order or cost center etc.)

best regards

Sourcing doesn't allow line level changes, are you aware of another way to do this?

Thanks

You can consider using Line Item Specifications for Account Assignment. Line Item Specifications allow you to add other attributes that you may need on line items.

There are not on the list of customizable objects in the UI. Can you provide some guidance on how we can approach to complete this?

Thanks

Hi,

Here is some information on the the Account Assignment and Item Category fields:

Account Assignment

The account assignment category must be populated with any of the available assignments that are replicated from SAP ECC to SAP CLM using the integration extract programs. These would be typically what comes in from ECC itself, the MSA (XML) will carry these fields and they need to be in Sync with SAP ECC to have a successful integration to the outline agreement creation in ECC.

Item Category

When the MSA is pushed as an outline agreement to SAP ECC, the item category field has to be blank, i.e. STANDARD

If the Item category isnu2019t blank in SAP CLM will point to this, please go to ME33K transaction on the ECC side and on the line item, youu2019d see the item category standard thatu2019s blank, it points to STANDARD.

The CLM agreement push will fail, the integration package supports only item category standard, hence that field need not be eliminated, but set to Standard.
