I noticed that too. In our implementation of SAP we use the inventory transfer for our consignmsent and have a seperate GL for when those accounts get invoiced. It requires the users to get trained but it guarantees no problem in the future as I see in the product roadmap. Inventory gets another revamp in 8.82 and major redesign in 9.0. I suggest since you are working with your current setup to contact as they should provide a fix usually in a query.
Because the table structures related to Inventory have been changed, this is a side effect. You need to contact SAP support to correct if the new number is wrong.
