Hi Experts,
In BI we have hierarchys(in financial module we have financial item), these hierarchys am not accessble in webi .
How to access these hierarchys in webi?

Hai if u want to Create Hierarchies in WEBI
First Go to Universe Designer -
Hierarchies
Create HIerarchies in Designer and then Exort it to Portal ,then take the report from Portal
Because WEBI main data source is Universe

am asking how to use sap system defined hierarchys.

you can use system defined hierarchy in this way
after opening the query in query panel you please select the option of SCOPE OF ANALYSIS and
Just drag the hierarchies and drop in the scope of analysis ( which is available on the left hand side of the webi)
than select the level like how many levels you want to see in reporting
eg if you are having a hierarchy like country > state > city >
than select 2 levels in scope of analysis and execute
after executing the report you may apply drill down options to any object of hierarchy.
after that once u click the column which is there in the report (hierarchical object) the next level of object will come
like if in the report if you have the column as state if u click the state then it will be replaced by city (and this is called levels)
