process instruction PI category

Process instructions getting generated when process order is released but one of the process category is showing wrong item category, since in the BOM i have maintained item category as L and it is picking as T (we have other T item category materials also in same BOM) but where this configuration will be and how to adjust to pick right item category for components....pls explain me.
