Best way is to go through the Installation Guide thoroughly, every needed information and notes and tips as well are clearly mentioned in the guide.

service.sap.com/instguides --> SAP Business suite --> SAP ERP --> SAP ERP 6.0 --> SAP enhancement packages for SAP ERP 6.0 --> SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 --> New Installation of SAP ERP 6.0 Enhancement Package 5

You can install a new system with SAP ERP 6.0 enhancement package 5. After the installation the technical usage "Central Application" is already installed

After installation with 'central application' , you need to upgrade rest of the ecc components to EhP5. Read the Guide.
