Hi Experts,

I want to remove unique record check for a DSO, but we are not able to do this after going to edit DSO option.

Any option by which i can see and edit settings for DSO which is allready created..

Hi Ganesh,

If it is a Direct update, in the first place, you will not have the the option/setting for checking the uniqueness of the data like in Write optimized or Standard DSO.

If you want to the tweak the uniqueness of the data in Direct update DSO, u'll have to play around with the Keyfields or try Implemting a rouine in your APD( u must be using the Direct update DSO in some APD right?)

Hi Sudheer,

This i have started with reference to this forumn. My Direct Update DSO behaves differently in Quality and in Production, which is moved from Dev to QA and then Prod.

I am tring to find out where is the difference for Uniqueness is defined.

Ganesh,

Are you sure that the data in both the enviroments, QA and PROD is same? Obviously, not.

You might have used test data to in QA for few test scenarios, but the prod data is the real time.

However, nail down the issue at query level. Run the query and see if the ouput has any duplicate values.

if that is the case, analyze why is that we have duplicate values in the report.

Sudheer

Hello Ganesh,

In direct update there is no setting like unique record check...Therefore, data is stored in precisely the same form in which it was written to the DataStore object for direct update by the application. In the BI system, you can use a DataStore object for direct update as a data target for an analysis process....

Guess, you havin Std or Write Opti DSO

Is data loaded in DSO...?

If yes then delete first and change the setting.

Thanks,

Santosh
