Hi,

If you maintain an alternative selection which requires a production vrsion in customization for order type, and mark in material master that a production version is mandatory (3 in alternative selection field in MRP4 screen), you will not be able to open a production order without a production version. Maybe this could be helpful.

This is standard configured message & can be of both error or warning. This message appear in Log & system ask to check it in logs.

I don think that you will get it E or W. But still i found one below thread marked as Ans. Give a try to it.

I have made the entry in Table T160MVAL

in Message C2 195 code E is appearing ,

i have selected the sam e but in co01 system is allowing me to create the order without BOM.

Dear Siva,

it's not always possible to customize system messages, see note 544444.

If you want to prevent and order is created without BOM you have to add a logic in user exit, as it's possible in SAP standard to create an order without BOM so this cannot be prevented from customizing.
