Hello, I struggled to reinstall SBOP BI PLATFORM 4.0, and that does not install the database (SQL SERVER 2008) and hence the SIA service becomes available I tried to erase everything and reinstall but the error persists, then uninstall everything and used a registry cleaner (RegSeeker) but Reintal the error continues, if there is any way to solve this I would appreciate your response.
Greetings!
Hi,
Exactly what error you get and on what step you get this error?

and despite asking me to configure all, tomcat, database, etc do not install and the service SIA does not appear to be activated, thus I can not access the cmc.
Check one of these forums showing how to attack this error by deleting the records, the temp folder and the user restarts the computer and when I installed the situation persists.
If you have any suggestions, I appreciate it.
Greetings!
Hi Carmen
When one refers to reinstalling the SAP BO BI Platform 4.0, there is 2 scenarios applicable:
1. Reinstall the software including the OS. This rarely has issues since one essentially rebuilds the server
2. Uninstalling and reinstalling only the SAP BO BI Platform (OS is not reinstalled).
For point 2 above, there is a few steps one should take note of.
a. Before uninstalling the BI software, ensure that only 1 SIA exists (delete all others via the CCM - otherwise you will have to later delete them from the Windows Services since these become orphans)
b.Uninstall the BI platform performing in reverse the installation if you have support packages loaded:
uninstall sequence:
1. SBOP BI Explorer 4.0 SP02 patch 8
2. SBOP BI Platform 4.0 SP02 patch 8
3. SBOP BI Explorer 4.0 SP02 patch 7
4. SBOP BI Platform 4.0 SP02 patch 7
5. SBOP BI Explorer 4.0 SP02 patch 6
6. SBOP BI Platform 4.0 SP02 patch 6
7. SBOP BI Explorer 4.0 SP02
8. SBOP BI Platform 4.0 SP02
c. Uninstall the Microsoft SQL server software (otherwise conflicts may occur with the reinstallation, also check that the relevant directories are removed)
d. delete the SAP BusinessObjects directory where it was installed into originally
e. delete the ".businessobjects" directory
Then one can start reinstalling (install) the BI software.
Regards
Derek
