UDF link to directory

SAP Business One 8.81 PL06: Is there a way to link to a directory instead of a specific file using a udf field? We do not want the files in the directory copied to the attachments folder.

Example: Customer has sales order associated with engineering project folder on a public drive that contain drawings, specifications, and other files. They want to simply link to these files to view them from SAP sales order docuemnt without adding an attachment.
