Hi Experts,
Quick Question
At the good reciept inspection the goods are subjected to sampling procedure, and even if one unit is found defective the whole lot needs to go through 100% sampling
Example
- Supplier ships 100 pcs of Printed Circuit Board Type
- Receiving inspection is carried out as per sampling plan
- Sample size Level II for 100 pcs = 20
- Sample testing found 1 pcs defective.
- Complete lot is rejected
- Remaining lot is 100% are screened
- Stock posting carried out.
Any help in this regard would be much appreciated.
Thank you
You can explore the concept of dependent multiple sampling
Dependent Multiple Samples: you can process double samples and multiple samples (up to seven) in accordance with ISO 2859-1.
When you valuate the inspection results, you cannot make a conclusive valuation for the inspection lot, because the number of nonconforming units or defects in the sample determined during results recording lies between the acceptance and rejection number.
The system then determines the next sampling plan from the sampling scheme that forms the basis for inspection.
The sample size and the number of nonconforming units cumulate when you process dependent multiple samples.

Hi,
I have tried this option. With sampling scheme as follows
Lot Size SS C1 D1 C2 D2
10 4 1 3 2 4
20 5 1 4 2 3
30 6 2 5 1 3
When i inspect with lot size 20 and sampled quantity as 5 and reject # is between 1 & 4. The system is proposing next sample as 5.
My requirement is 100% i.e 20 samples.
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Anwar
Yes as your Lot size is 20 system gives to sample size again as 5 as per the sampling table that you have created.
Unfortunetly here there is no option by which you can jump directly to 100 % sample size unless specified in the same table.
Now there is one option but you need to do some research:
For every Valuation mode there is One valuation rule that is assigned in the background which works on some function module.
Same is with multiple sampling .If you can create you own function module which will consider the next resampling as Inspection lot Qty only ,then you get the answer.
So take help of abaper for the same & build the logic. !!
Hi Sujit,
Thank you for reply. While i explore that.
I've found a "OK" solution for this when we fix the control Indicators as Scope Not Fixed or Larger i am able to added (n) of samples which i want to inspect.
But only problem im running into is a user will be able to add more than the inspection lot.
Ex. inspection lot 20 and sample 5 he can ispect for 21.
Do you know or any thoughts about limiting this to quantities in inspection lot?
Regards
Anwar
