Unable to access multiple applications through portal

After logging in to Portal, i open one application. Keeping this session open if i try opening another application it just prompts the GUI and does nothing. This happens with only me and one of my friend, others are able to open multiple applications. I have to completely close the existing application end GUI session then i can open some other application. But, only one at a time. Can anyone please help me with this?

Could you please refer to the KBA # 2085459 and clear the personalization data for the users who are experiencing this issue and check if this resolves your issue or not

Cleaning up of personalization data may be necessary to solve problems that are related to specific users or specific objects in the portal.

If still the issue is faced then you can compare the http calls in Http watch trace of working and a non working scenario to check if the call is going to the right application
