Interal Acticivties - Exchange Rate Type

Hi experts,

When I check the Cost report of an internal activity form CJ20N (Ctrl+F11) I do not understand which currency rate is picking when I ask to show the cost in the Controlling area currency.

When I check the same report for cost activities the exchange is being done properly.

Could you help me?

Hi,

Check the costing / valuation variant for the network. In it you will see the version for activity pricing. For that version in OKEQ you can see what is the exchange rate type maintained. Alternate option is to check the activity rates for your cost centre / activity type comibination for controlling area & object currrecy. With the resultant rate you can compare in OB08.

I've checked on OPL1 the costing variant we are using an everything is correct for the informed version.

We also have checked the activity rates in KP26, they are correct informed in the Controlling Area Currency, is there any conversion rate informed there?

Hi,

The only other thing that i can think of is to check the duration of the internal activity and see for that duration range there is more taht one rate available in that system.

Thanks, but that's not the issue as the cost in the Controlling Area Currency matches with the rate informed in KP26. The issue is when we displayed it in the object currency. We do not know from were is taking the exchange rate.

If we do the same, check the cost, for a Cost Activity the exchange rate between Control Area Currency and Object Curreny is correct.

We are really lost with this problem, any other idea?

Hi,

If the issue is with just one project then try CJEN to remove any incosistancies. If not i can think of only trial and error method. Put something like 1 EUR (assuming this as Obj Currency) and see what is the equivalent cost calculated in USD (assuming Controlling Area Curr). Then you can cross verify this rate in OB08 / TCURR and see what is exchange rate type.

Hi,

Check the Tcode OBBS if the currency you are using exist there. If not creare it and then update the table TCURR for the translaton ratio EURX, M and P. Once you have done this change the activity rate, save and try again the CTRL+F11.
