OK, let me translate what worked for me:

1) go to transaction RZ10 look for a profile whose type is "instance profile"

2) check the Extended maintenance radio button

3) look for the parameter: SAPGLOBALHOST  write down this value (something like LC02)

4) Create a new SAP login entry in your PC. in the "application Server" field value use the value obtained in point 3 (the value you wrote down)fill the other parameters: Instance number and system ID, description (you can copy these values from other entries on the same sap logon)

5) open Notepad, usually want to run it as administrator, rightclick on Notpad and run it as administrator (in case you have Access Deny problem)

6) on your PC open  the "hosts"  file C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

to see all files when you choose open, at the right hand you will see a dropbox that has TexDocuments.txt as the host file is not a txt file on the same drop box choose Allfiles (*.*)

7) add the IP address of the sap server then an space and then the value obtained from point 3

like this without any pounds at the beginning

Example:

39.395.999.999 LC02

😎 save your entry, and try to run BEX selecting the entry you just created on you SAP LOGON.

Hope this  will help someone.

see the ERROR,ERRNO is different from the previous details..can you tell me where actually this problem is occuring?whether it is there in the office networks or in the remote server networks(because we have servers at client place and we are accessing them in office remotely)

Hi,

The following entry then appears in the dev_rfc trace file:

T:3560 ======> Connect from SAP gateway to RFC server failed

Connect_PM GWHOST=X.X.X.X, GWSERV=sapgw00,

ASHOST=X.X.X.X, SYSNR=00

LOCATION SAP Gateway on host hostname/sapgw00

ERROR partner not reached (host X.X.X.X, service sapgw00)

Since the specified IP address is not known to the gateway, the Analyzer

cannot communicate with the gateway.

Solution

The gateway host and the actual target are usually identical. In this

case, you can use parameter gw/alternative_hostnames to indicate to the

gateway than the external IP address received identifies the host.

Caution: gw/alternative_hostnames may only be set in the instance

profile and under no circumstances in the DEFAULT.PFL!!!

It should resolved your issue.

Thanks,

Venkat

Dear Yarpath,

What is the GUI version you are using? Please confirm the BEx front end patch:

Make sure that you use GUI 7.20 and latest Frontend patches.

hi,

Please ensure that hostname 'segment-119-226.sify.net' is correct:

"hostname ''segment-119-226.sify.net" unknown"

447882 RFC_ERROR_COMMUNICATION BEx Analyzer: no back end connection

148832 - IP address conversion with a firewall

882741 - SAP Logon: "Logon balancing error", service 'sap...'

654982 : URL requirements due to Internet standards.

Do not use fully qualified domain names and regular domain names

at the same time. Generally the URLs are only allowed to differ

in the prefix (URL1: http://prefix1.aa.bb.cc.com URL2: http://prefix2.aa.bb.cc.com).

See notes 654326, 805344 and 596698.

If note 447882 couldn't solve the problem, please try to replace the IP

address in the SAP logon box with the host name and enter the host name

in the host file on the frontend.

And if your BW system is Unicode, please verify whether the frontend

PC which has the error connecting 'Bex Analyzer' has a hostname in

non-English language. If so, please change the hostname of the

problematic PC to English and it would resolve the issue.

Thanks,

Venkat
