how can I see what triggered the procurement of material after the document has been cancelled?

in MD04 we see a purchase order that has been created but we cannot see what triggered this need. The possible reason is that a sales order triggered this reservation/need but that this triggering document has been deleted.

I checked in various tables, VBAK etc but could not find any document with this material.

Is there a way I can see the history of what appeared in MD04?

If you had a requisition from a MRP run for this PO then you can see the planning situation in MD05

unfortunately I can't get any information out of this answer.

Do you have a requisition?

Was this requisition created from a MRP run or manually (check the status in the requisition)

Was this requisition created from the MRP run of the MRP list you are looking at?

Have there been changes to the MRP fields in the material master recently?

again no a single question answered. How do you expect to get help if you don't answer questions?

the only question I can answer is that a Preq exists and as the PO is created, the status brings B PO created. so MRP created. how and when it was created I do not know and as far as I can see the MRP controller and Pgr has been changed in MRP in material master.

does this answer your questions?

The creation indicator is important for this analysis.

Use SE16N at table EBAN, find your requisition and see what value it has in field ESTKZ, if it is a R then the requisition was created manually. In this case you have to ask the user why the requisition was created.

like I wrote in my reply, the status is B so it is MRP created. (I have already checked the EBAN-ESTKZ)

but what we do not know is what triggered this Preq and i am not sure where I can find this information

What are the planning parameters from material master MRP1 view? Is it reorder point planning?

no: reorder point is 0; no min and no safety stock either. it is triggered only when the request is created (sales, production order etc). no forecast either

Try transaction MD09 for your purchase requisition.
