We are just about ready to go live. Our users are out there testing. For the majority of the users they see the BSP that we designed exactly as they should. For a few others when a screen comes up it appears without the CSS stylesheet and the formatting looks off. It's like the MIME object isn't found or active. Two people sitting next to each other see the same screen completely different.
Anyone seen this before, or know what settings are causing this?
Anthony
I have no immediate answer. We see from time to time failed MIME loading. This is usually caused (not always) by authentication problems. Other reasons can be differences in browser versions (and definitely browser settings), and then caching. Last idea is GZIP compression.
The easiest way is to first compare browser settings, check for loaded plugins and blockers. Then to look at HTTP proxy trace. Also consider to flush both browser and server cache, and try failed machine again.
Should all fail, start with Http proxy trace.

So far we have tried everything and can not get the issue resolved. The only thing I can think of that has changed is we added the weblog to modify the standard SAP tooltip. I'm going to back that out and see if it resolves the issue. If it does, we can try it again when we increase our service pack level in June.
Thanks,
Anthony
Then let us examine the problem. What I would suggest is that you write us an OSS message. Include a reference to this thread. Also we will need HTTP access, plus all the steps to reproduce. If this should work for us, then you will have to help us make a HTTP proxy trace (this is what we really require!) to see why it fails on a specific machine. Given such a trace, we should easy be able to tell you what happened (or failed to happen).

We did on early SP's but since SP43 we've not had the problem again. There was a caching problem we even made an OSS note for it I'm trying to remember the solution they gave us at the time. I'll have to check my notes tomorrow at work.
In fact I think Brian was the one who helped us out on that one maybe he'll pop in tonight and let us know if he remembers.

Hi Anthony,
we had the same problem in our company. We found out that the problem was caused by our IE configuration script. Btw please check if you have the same problem when you use https. We switched over to https and don't have the problem anymore.
Please check out this there are some answers which could be helpful. At last be sure not only to cover the SAP side but also the Internet Explorer side, good luck.
regards
Thomas
