Hello Gurus,
On of our clients is planning an upgrade from SRM4.0 to SRM7.0.
I went through the upgrade guide on service marketplace and realized that it's a 1 step upgrade. However once the Basis/Tech guys have done the core upgrade, what cutover activities do we as functional guys need to carry out? I have listed some below, please add and correct me.
1. Separate the org structure into user org and vendor org
2. Portal setup and role mapping
3. Migrate and test ABAP objects
4. Screen Enhancements from ITS to dynpro
Also kindly let me know what are the things we should watch out for...what could be the issues etc. Kindly share your experiences.
Best Regards,
John

Dear John,
Currently my client is upgrading from SRM 4.0 to SRM 7.0.
The following activities were performed along with the list as mentioned by you.
1. The business partner migration from time independent scenario in 4.0 to time dependent scenario in 7.0. The existing BPs in SRM 4.0 need to be migrated using TD_SWITCH report. Please refer note 1077616, 1228662, 810634 for more details.
2. FM BBP_USER_GET_ATTRIBUTES has become obsolette in SRM 7.0. Alternative FM is BBP_GET_ATTRIBUTES_AT03.
3. To migrate existing vendors from 4.0 to 7.0, report BBP_XPRA_ORGEH_TO_VENDOR_GROUP need to be run in SRM 7.0.
Hope this helps.
Thanks & Regards,
Aswini
