Hi All,

Could anyone help me on this.

I have created a workflow and i m sending the workitems to several agents at a time it is OK,

When being revised by an agent, the workitem must be locked for editing by the other agents who however

must be given the possibility to open it read only requirement is to lock the workitem for the next user

if it is being edited by some one.

Thank you,

Harsha P

Hello,

As far as I know, when someone opens a workitem then it's reserved and the other agents won't even see it in their inbox, so locking is not an option or problem. I don't think the other agents are able to see the workitem in read-only mode.

That's right Rick, was was thining if they are accessing it through another transaction, i.e SWI1, just to clarify.

When it's reserved it is no longer visible within the inbox for the other agents.

Hi All,

Actually We are sending the workitems to multiple agents at a time.We need to lock the workitem at this

Stage.

Actually we have developed a webdynpro abap application which takes input from an initiator and produces

a static adobe as output.when initiator submits the form form uwl for approval process the following should happen in

work flow process

1)we will send workitem to 3 agents at a time at this stage we need to lock the workitem to others

if any one of them is making changes to the input view.

Thank&regards,

Hello,

Are they accessing the workitem via UWL? If so, then what it's said above applies: there is no locking problem.

Not sure you mean by a workitem "being edited". Maybe the form that can be accessed via the workitem?

Since only one person can access the workitem at a time, only one person can access the form at a time.

There, you're done! Or have I misunderstood something?

Hi Harsha,

This should happen as standard, as if the work item is being edited, executed or is reserved by an agent, it will be locked to prevent another agent from executing it.

They should still be able to open in display mood.

Best Regards,
