Reading Unicode Characters in MII

Hello,

Our MII application in interfacing with the local ERP application via a Flat File interface.

The implementation is in EU thus the flat files contain special characters specific to the language (German, Polish, Russian etc.)

Usually when i read this file in MII I see junk instead of the special characters.

With the available actions in MII is this possible to accomplish?

Or can the program that creates these files handle this on their end?

Hi,

do you have any idea which the codpage set in SAP of the output file? pherhaps if you set a proper codepage when exporting / saving data in the server you get good results.

how does the data in windows look like? Is it ok in windows? If yes than I think at MII Level you need to do anything.

The ERP interface is a non SAP and I am not sure how it will handle the same.

So what you are saying is that the program that outputs this file should take care of it , right?

Yes it looks fine in WIndows.
