Hello,
I'm new using the SAPGUI for java, and after doing some research, i'm still not able to understand how to connect to clients.
I saw something about the advanced tab where you place a string for connections, like con= etc.......
My question is, how does it work comparing to the PC version? For example i have a connection with system id = DNV server 192.0.8.XXX and instance number 1X. How would my conn string look like?
Thanks
Augusto

Hello,
in expert mode, the connection string would look like conn=/H/iwdf8997.wdf.sap-ag.de/S/3200
Please refer to 9.1 Technical Background, Connection Strings for details.
If you have alle the configuration files used for SAP GUI for Windows available, you can convert them to be used by SAP GUI for Java. The conversion script can be found at the end of section [Literature of the SAP GUI Family page on SDN|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/sap-gui#section16].
Best regards
Rolf-Martin
