In our Development "SFW5"

We have activated 2 Components

Business Function Set - Discrete Industries / Mill Prod - DIMP_SDUD - 600

Enterprise Business Functions -MM Inegration of MM & Financial Accounting - LOG_MMFI_P2P - 604

...We wanted to move only LOG_MMFI_P2P - 604 Activation to our Quality Server.

When we created a Transport request Clicking on Function LOG_MMFI_P2P - 604 as recomended , "SFW5" --> " System Settings" --> Transport .

It created a transport requests and when we attempted to see objects in the request. There was only on object like "A".

we failed to understand, But when we moved this request to Quality Server, we observed in SFW5 of quality server "DIMP_SDUD - 600 " and " LOG_MMFI_P2P - 604 " both are activated.

We slighly confused, Why 2 Objects activation got transported ? Our requirement is only to move 1 Object ...Please suggest expets ?

Hi,

It might be because you have activated Industry business function in you Dev system and then you have activated another Enterprise Business function. Once you activate Industry business function in the system then all corresponding enterprise business function related to that Industry function will work in the system. That might be one of the reason both got transported.

Thanks

Thanks Sunny

Our understanding - These two are two different functions and now we want to Transport only one function .

Any thoughts.

Hi,

Yes, these are two separate business function. But Discrete Industrial/Mill product is Industry solution, once you will activate it you cannot activate any other industry solution in the system. And this sits on top of all the remaining function.

Thanks

Sunny.

Does it mean ..with out activating "Atleast 1 Business Function Set" ...We can not activate other " Enterprise Business Functions ".....

Could you confirm

Hi,

No, it is not like that. You can activate only one Industry solution in your system. Its not mandatory to activate any industry solution. You can activate any Enterprise function set without depending upon industry solution. But in your case, you activated Industry solution first and then Enterprise business function that's why both got transported. If you have activated any enterprise business function set without activating industry solution then when you will transport it then only single enterprise business function set can be transported.

Thanks

Sunny....

Thanks & Hat's off to expert time spent on SDN.

My last ...Now we decided to Discrete will move to quality not now...Mean some where nest year..But Other MM Enhancement Function should be implemented immediately.

...Now We can not move only MM /FI Enhancement alone in any way?

If yes...We are in deep touble...Please confirm...I can publish this internally.

Hi,

Another way is you don't transport from develomemt system and activate only required Business enterprise function directly in quality however it is not recommended way but in your case this is the option left. And then you have do the work around to transport same in production system.

Thanks

Hi Sunny,

My concern is in automatic downpayment clearing for which I have to have  “LOG_MMFI_P2P”, to be activated to use T.Code ME2DP for report. Not able to view the same in SFW5.

Currently we are using ECC6, but not EHP4. How to install EHP4?

I would be highly obliged if you could send the me the path to install the same in IDES, first and then will try the same in production. And, while installing what are the step to be followed, thanks.

Thanking in Advance,

Raghav.
