'Service number' to be made mandatory on service detail screen

Hi All, the standard system allows creation of PR for external service with the detail screen filled with just description. There is no standard setting I have come across either to make this mandatory. Wanted to check if anyone dealt with a similar case.. wanted to know if we could achieve this without an enhancement..

Since it is an optional field I doubt whether it is possible to make mandatory in standard settings. Please try transaction variant (SHD0) or GuiXT.
