Crystal Reports 2008 and Bex query with variables in RKF not working

Hi,

I am trying to set up a Report with Crystal Report 2008 using a Bex Query and the MDX interface driver. In the Bex query I am using variables in restricted key figures (to restrict year for example) which should then be used as a parameter in Crystal.

But when I use the variable "within" a restricted key figure, I cannot see anything from the Bex query at all, there is no data and no fields/objects available. When I remove the variable from the RKF I can work normally with the query in CR2008.

Any ideas on this?

Edit: I am trying to use manual input/input ready variables. even when using the variables in the filter I cannot expand the data node in the field explorer in crystal.
