Builder 'mtabuilder' is not available for workspace in SAP HANA WEBIDE

Hi All,

I am running into error "Builder 'mtabuilder' is not available for workspace workspace**********" in SAP HANA WEBIDE when i try to build the simple project in my workspace and with the user having SPACEDEVELOPER rights .

I have tried xs restart di-core and also also waited for sometime after creating the project since HDi Builder is created in user work space , But still the same error.

we are running on 1.00.122.04.1478575636, any help here would be appreciated .

Best Regards,

Goutham

Seems everybody is suffering from this lack of communication about this very important Topic, why doesn't anybody care To explain how to add an Application to a Space, can't be too much to ask for.

Hi ,

you need to log on into the di-space-enablement-ui, you can get the link with xs app di-space-enablement-ui –urls.

Run that and it will install the di-builder into any space you select (in your case the DEV space).

For HANA Express edition, there is no the di-space-enablement-ui, feature.

@Jay Malla: Your comment, that the express edition does not contain the Space Enablement Tool is not true. The tool is part of HXE. It was missing in an earlier VM base version, but this was already fixed quite some time ago.

For the HANA Express 2.0 SPS 1 VM running on my machine - I am not running into this issue. I do see the di-space-enablement-ui there. The build is working and I can run my nodeJS applications. For HANA Express 1.0 SPS 12 on AWS, I am still not able to get the the build to work. There is no di-space-enablement-ui there. I hope this sheds some light into the issue. I still need to figure out how to get the build to work on HANA 1.0 SPS 12 because that is what the client has just upgraded to from SPS 9.

Hi All,

I was able to run the build in SAP space after the enabling the space for build using app "spaceenable-ui" , But still not all the issues are solved, How do i enable my custom space for development? i could not enable this space for build, I got below error,

"Deploy Service is not available in space NG_XS for user XSA_ADMIN. space NG_XS not found Could not deploy the builder. Cause: Could not deploy the builder MTA.. Could not deploy the builder MTA"

can someone please help me get the clarity here ? Do i have to install the MTA file into this Custom space ?

Hi Goutham - I am running into the same problem on HANA Express edition - "Builder 'mtabuilder' is not available for workspace". I created a question - Node.js on SAP webIDE for SAP HANA error- Builder 'mtabuilder' is not available for workspace

I do not see the app sapenable-ui. I think that is not part of Express. Did you get this working? How do I mtabuilder working? I have created a DEV space and added the XSA_ADMIN as space developer. Did you ever get this working?
