Short Description PROJ-POST1 - seperate from Long text

The field PROJ-POST1 - Short Description appears by default to be populated with the first line of the Long Text. Is there any way of using the PROJ-POST1 field independently?

Hi,

If the objective is to have a separate short text & long text then this can be done. Click the pencil icon next to project description and it will take you to the long text screen. In there enter the short text which you want to see in the first line. Then hit enetr and go to the next line and key in your long text from there. by this way your long text will not over write the short text. And you can see this short text in PROJ - POST1.

The first line will appear in POST1 and the second lines are not showing (long text).

This is SAP standard functionality. Can you explain why such a functionality is required? There maybe a workaround based on the requirements you provide.

I think this is sap std, short description appears as by default in 1st line of long text description.
