There seems to be an issue with the formatted names field in IT0002. If
there is a name change (e.g. effective 01.07.2011) the
formatted names field of the historical IT0002 is also updated with the
changed name. This is obviously a bug because exception is
that the formatted names field always displays the full name valid at
this point of time.
Thx a lot Rajdeep. After moving out of the team, still helping us by providing sufficient Info.Hatsoff for all your help provided.

The issue we noticed is for IT 0002 Ename changes. For example if we are changing a surname of the employee in the current record, those changes will update in the ename (formatted field) of the current record.
But the issue we noticed is the previous records ename field is also getting changed .
So want to know, this is the standard behaviour or how it should work.Since based on the ename changes, the header of the infotype will change.

Hi Pramod
This is the standard behaviour. As soon as a component (e.g. last name, first name etc.) of the ENAME is changed in infotype 0002, the ENAME will be updated in ALL infotype 0001 records, because the ENAME is stored in infotype 0001 (although the name is maintained in infotype 0002).
Reason why all infotype 0001 records are updated is, that the formatted name (ENAME) is always built from the most current name of the employee (please see the field documentation of field "Formatting"
in infotype 0002), i.e. field P0001-ENAME always contains the newest version of the formatted name.
It must be unique and is therefore identical in all records.
Since the infotype 0001 records get updated with the new ENAME, also the fields AEDTM and UNAME will be updated accordingly. Hope I could clarify your request,
If you dont want this behaviour check SNote:1139801

Hi Pramod
The Full Name you are talking about is it on infotype 2 header or PA20/PA30 header.
Thanks
