This Database Server Type is not supported

Dear Experts,

Kindly suggest your opinion regarding this issue we had freshly installed a SAP 2007B in our Server Edition is Microsoft Windows 2003 and Database is of MSSql_2005 R2 Standard Edition and we had upgraded the SAP 2007B to PL_18.

Now when we login to DTW on Change server for SQL Connection getting an error of "This Database Server Type is not Supported."

So any body had a solution or faced this kind of issue please share your knowledge to out come from this issue..

hi,

you said you had upgraded to PL18. DTW is a separate installation among the automatic registered addons. have u get your installer from PL18?

also re-consider re-installation of your SQL native client. locate it from your MS SQL installer CD.

Make sure you choose the correct Database type 2005 under options in DTW.

Hi ! Jenkins,

Thanks for your suggestion, actually on change server i mean while selecting the SQL Server there is no server visible from the drop down list and even the database type which by default should to show as MSSQL_2005.

So kindly suggest what might be the actual issue consist of...

Thanks for your suggestion, but getting this error on Server itself where the MSSql server 2005 is loaded.

Even on the server, SQL Native Client is needed for DTW.
