SAPINST_INSTDIR

Hello,

I have just successfully installed NetWeaver 04 SR1 sneak preview (WebAS 6.40, MaxDB, EP6.0 with Content Management and Collaboration) on my laptop (Win XP SP2).

I have noticed that a directory called sapinst_instdir was created under Program Files folder, but seems to be only related to the installation (some logs). Can I delete this sapinst_instdir folder?

Thanks

Fernando Urzedo

Yep shouldn't be any problems at all deleting those logs.

Hi Fernando,

I am just new to EP and try to create a test environment to see what we can do with EP.

Can you please tell me how / where can I get the installation files for NetWeaver 04 SR1 sneak preview (WebAS 6.40, MaxDB, EP6.0 with Content Management and Collaboration).

Did you experience any problems in the installation process ?

Thanks.

That directory contains installation log files, when the installation process is started, the installer creates log files to ensure continuity after a problem is encountered and the user decides to stop the installation.

When the user begins the installation once again, the installation is continued from where it stopped due to the logs maintained by the installer.

So if you have finished the installation yes you can safely delete those files/directory.

Regards,

Sid
