Hello

I am practicing sap sd on IDES.

I was trying to make material with movement type 561 at MB1C.

Once I entered my movement type, plant and storage location I get this erroru2026

Posting only possible in periods 2008/08 and 2008/07 in company code 9999

Message no. M7053

Then as usual I opened a new window and took a overview at MMRV..here I entered my company code which was copied from the standard company I could see that

Current period 08 2008

Previous period 07 2008

Last period in prev. yr 12 2007

So with the intention of closing all this period one by one I moved on tcode MMPV.

Now at MMPV whn I entered period 08 2008u2026.it gives me another erroru2026

The specified year 2008 is not the current calendar year

So finally I thought of changing the setting at OMSYu2026HERE

WHEN I TRIED TO CHANGE THE FISCAL YEAR OF CURRENT PERIODu2026IT GIVES ME THIS ERRORu2026

The company code 9999 can no longer be initialized

You wanted to initialize the company code 9999 in Materials Management. However, this is not possible because material valuation records already exist for it.

System Response

The system re-enters the old values.

*Procedure *

If you want to change the current period for this company code nevertheless, choose Close period on the Material Master screen. However, be sure to read the documentation for the period closing program first.

Can anyone let me know whats going on here? and how would I be able to make stock at mb1c for my customized material?

Posting only possible in periods 2008/08 and 2008/07 in company code

T-code: MMRV - will show you current open period for the company code 9999

T-code: MMPV - is used to open the period

You are trying to do the goods movement in current period but your open period is 2008/08 and 2008/07

Before posting any issue, please do search the forum

If its already initialised...create a new ccode and redo from the begining and make sure your periods are current. You may be copying cc data ccode with past periods.

You mean you created a new company code with current peiods 4 times already and it doesnt work. ??

i copy it from 1000 but std compa code has period problem so dont know hw to do it?

Ok. This is what you got to do.Look for the company code other than 1000 say 0001 or any other for which the period initialized in recent one. Take that one and copy it.
