Hi All
I am getting an Error "Unknown Database Connector Error" in Crystal reports 2008 when I try to create a new connection to oracle server or open an exsisting report. I have installed Crystal reports 2008 on Windows 7 O/S.
Any solution for this? Why this error comes.
Thanks and Regards
Sirisha
Not without knowing if you applied any Patches to CR 2008, SP 4 is available now, and what your DB is and how you are connecting?
Is the Oracle Client installed and configured?

Hi Don,
I have not updated to any patches, its the same crystal version that i haved used on windows xp, and now installed on windows 7 O/S.
The Database is Oracle server, I connect to the db through Oracle Server option from My Database connections in database expert Dialogue box.
The reports are very well working in Windows XP, but showing the error when installed the same on windows 7 platform.
Thanks
Sirisha
Don,
I have the same problem with CR 2011. I installed it in Windows 7 64 bit. I installed Oracle 10g client and through SQL Plus I am able to login to the database. In CR 2011, when i go to Database -> Database Expert -> Create New Connection -> Oracle Server, it asks for Service Name, User ID and Password. For Service Name, I gave the same service name which i had entered when i created Local Net Service Name Configuration. but CR is throwing the error "Unknown database connector error". I tried Net Service Name and all other possible options but of no use. Can you please help?
