Hello
I have created the Catalog Profile with catalog code groups and assigned the codes..The profile have been maintained in technical object masters .No catalog profile is maintained for any notification type. Now when I am creating a notification M1 it says "No catalog profile has been maintained for notification category M1"...It copies the catalog profiel of the technical object after I maintain the technical object in Notification .
I want to avoid this info message..How do I avoid this message for the notifications without catalog profile...
The message details are:
No catalog profile has been maintained for notification category Z1
Message no. IM005
Procedure
Please maintain the corresponding entries for the catalog profile and allocate this catalog profile to the notification type.
Hi Shaikh,
There are certain messages which can be controlled through SPRO. You can get the same list from following path....SPRO > PM & CS > Maintenance & Service Processing > Maintenance & Service Orders > Message Control.
Here in click on new entries.
Enter the application area as IM.
Enter the your message no as 005.
Select the category as No Message.

I tried wat u suggested but it doesnt work..
Also When u enter this message no and Application area under the Message Control (IMG) it gives a warning message "Choose the key from the allowed namespace"
Even If included in IMG, it has no effect..Still prompts the same message..
Waiting for more inputs
Thanks for all the inputs shared...
Hi Shaikh,
This message can not be skipped with any SPRO settings because this message
Viz.: < ELSE.
CLEAR E_RIWO02.
MESSAGE I005 WITH I_TQ80-QMART RAISING INITIAL_REPORT_CAT.
ENDIF.>
is hard coded in program LIWO2U05.
If at all you want to bypass this message then you need to change the above mentioned program for bypassing the message.

I do not want to maintain any Catalog profile in Notification type just to avoid error since we work with equipments catalog profile . Is it standard to maintain catalog in notification type....Any advantages of it...
Also I understand that this message is hard coded in Program and needs extensive alteration to the Program.
Thanks a millions
Regards
Murad
That is information message, so that you can skip. There is no config to make that as No message.
